SECTION 5-37-21

   § 5-37-21  Fee splitting. – No physician shall directly or indirectly receive payment, reimbursement,compensation, or fee for a referral to any clinical laboratory. A violation ofthe provisions of this section shall constitute a misdemeanor and uponconviction thereof may be punished by imprisonment for not longer than one yearor a fine of not more than five hundred dollars ($500), or both.
