SECTION 5-38-26

   § 5-38-26  Inspection by lienholders.– (a) For the purpose of inspecting repaired vehicles, a lienholder orlienholders shall be allowed forty-eight (48) hours or two (2) working daysafter notification by the body shop to inspect the vehicle at the body shop.The agent for the lienholder or lienholders inspecting the vehicle must belocated within the state of Rhode Island and have the authority to sign theinsurance check or draft.

   (b) If the lienholder(s) fails to inspect within the timeframe specified in subsection (a) of this section, it must endorse theinsurance company check or draft to the body shop.
