SECTION 5-51-12

   § 5-51-12  Persons exempt from licensure.– Employees of the United States doing work in Rhode Island for the United Statesgovernment, and state, city, town, or regional planners shall be exempt fromthe license and registration provisions of this chapter. Nothing contained inthis chapter shall be construed to prohibit or restrict the practice ofprofessional planning by private consultants or employees of public agencies,nor the practice of architects, professional engineers, land surveyors,landscape gardeners, or nursery workers in the performance of their business orprofession as distinct from the profession of landscape architecture.
