SECTION 5-56-8

   § 5-56-8  Penalties. – The penalties for noncompliance with any section of this chapter are as statedin § 42-17.1-2 as follows: any person who knowingly and willfully violatesany rule or regulation adopted pursuant to authority granted to the director,upon conviction, shall be punished by a fine of not more than five hundreddollars ($500), or by imprisonment for not more than thirty (30) days, or both,for each offense or violation, and each day's failure to comply with any ruleor regulation shall constitute a separate offense.
