§ 5-68-7 - Exemptions.
SECTION 5-68-7
§ 5-68-7 Exemptions. – The provisions of the preceding sections do not apply to:
(1) A licensed practitioner when practicing within his or herfield of expertise.
(2) Students of medicine, when under the general supervisionof an instructor who is a radiologist board certified or eligible for boardcertification and when acting within the scope of practice.
(3) A dentist, licensed dental hygienist or certified dentalassistant when practicing within his or her field of expertise.
(4) Podiatry assistants who have received a "certificate ofcompletion" from the Community College of Rhode Island or other equivalenttraining approved by the board, after having taken and passed the course on"radiography for podiatry assistance" and when acting within the practice ofpodiatry.
