SECTION 5-75-1

   § 5-75-1  Legislative finding. – The legislature finds that:

   (a) Professional employer organizations provide a valuableservice to commerce and the citizens of this state by increasing theopportunities of employers to develop cost-effective methods of satisfyingtheir personnel requirements and providing employees with access to certainemployment benefits which might otherwise not be available them;

   (b) Professional employer organizations operating in thisstate should be properly recognized and regulated by the division of taxation,as provided in this chapter and § 44-30-71.4; and

   (c) Any allocation of the employer duties andresponsibilities pursuant to this chapter will preserve all rights to whichcovered employees would be entitled under a traditional employment relationship.
