SECTION 6-13.3-1

   § 6-13.3-1  Declaration of policy. –(1) It is the public policy of the state that environmental marketing claims,whether explicit or implied, must be substantiated by competent and reliableevidence so as not to deceive or mislead consumers about the environmentalimpact of products and packages.

   (2) Accurate and useful information about the environmentalimpact of products and packages must be made available to consumers. Theuniform standards for environmental marketing claims, as contained in the FTCguidelines for environmental marketing claims are hereby adopted by the stateof Rhode Island.
