   § 7-7-8  Qualifications of members. –Only persons, or associations of persons, engaged in the production of theagricultural products that the association is authorized to handle, includinglessees and landlords receiving these products as rent, are eligible tomembership in the association, subject to the terms and conditions prescribedin its articles of incorporation or bylaws consistent with this chapter.Following the ascertainment through procedure set forth in its bylaws that amember has ceased to be eligible to membership in an association, his or herrights in the association may be suspended.
