SECTION 8-13-5

   § 8-13-5  Compensation of secretary –Expenses of council. – The secretary of the council shall receive annually the sum of one thousanddollars ($1,000) as compensation for his or her services and the other membersof the council shall serve without compensation but shall be allowed theirnecessary travel, clerical, and other expenses, and the general assembly shallannually appropriate such sum as it may deem necessary in carrying out theprovisions of this chapter; and the state controller is hereby authorized anddirected to draw his or her orders upon the general treasurer for the paymentof such sum, or so much thereof as may from time to time be required, upon thereceipt by him or her of proper vouchers approved by the chairperson of thecouncil.
