SECTION 8-8-14

   § 8-8-14  Rental of courtrooms. – Upon request by the chief judge, the chief of the division of public buildings,with the approval of the director of administration, is hereby authorized tohire, for the use of the state, from time to time and for terms not exceedingthree (3) years, suitable rooms within the jurisdiction of the severaldivisions in which the sessions of the court shall be held and may engagecompetent persons to take care of the rooms, when necessary; and the statecontroller is hereby authorized and directed to draw his or her orders upon thegeneral treasurer from time to time to pay for the rental of the rooms or forthe care thereof out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated,upon properly authenticated vouchers approved by the chief and director makingand approving the contracts.
