SECTION 8-9-21

   § 8-9-21  Contempt of court – Habeascorpus. – Every probate court may punish any contempt of its authority by fine orimprisonment or both. Every probate court may issue writs of habeas corpus tobring before it any person in jail to be examined as a witness in any suit orproceeding pending in the court, that the ends of justice may be attained, andfor no other purpose.
