SECTION 8-9-23

   § 8-9-23  Missing person – Presumptionof death. – If a resident of this state has disappeared and has been absent from his or herusual place of residence and his or her whereabouts has been unknown for morethan four (4) years, it shall be prima facie evidence that the person is deadso as to allow for the administration of his or her estate.
