SECTION 9-1-9

   § 9-1-9  Survival of actions for therecovery of possession of land. – Civil actions to recover possession of land shall survive the death of theplaintiff or defendant and may be prosecuted or defended by the heir, devisee,executor, or administrator of the deceased party, as the right may descend orvest.
