§ 9-17-11 Civil liability for failure toattend. – Every witness who does not appear according to the tenor of the subpoena, andhas no reasonable excuse for his or her nonappearance, shall be liable to anaction by the aggrieved party for all damages sustained in consequence of thedefault.
