SECTION 9-17-17

   § 9-17-17  Cross-examination not a waiverof exception. – Where the testimony of a witness upon any subject, at any trial or hearing, isadmitted by the court, and exception thereto is taken, the cross-examination ofthe witness upon the subject, by the party excepting thereto, shall not beconsidered a waiver of the exception.
