§ 9-19-42 The Rhode Island rules ofevidence. – The rules of evidence as adopted by the Rhode Island supreme court shall becontrolling and take precedence over any statutory or case law in effect at thetime of the adoption that is inconsistent with the Rhode Island rules ofevidence.
