SECTION 9-22-9

   § 9-22-9  Costs on motions, petitions, andappeals. – Any court may award costs on motions, petitions, or appeals filed in actions,suits, and other proceedings pending before it, for or against either party, inits discretion, and upon such terms and conditions as it may prescribe bygeneral rule or special order.
