SECTION 9-25-20

   § 9-25-20  Return of executions. – Every execution issued by the supreme or superior or family court shall, unlessotherwise specially provided therein, be made returnable thereto one year fromthe date of the execution, and shall be returned by the officer chargedtherewith; and if the officer shall not return the execution within that time,he or she shall be liable therefor as by law prescribed.
