SECTION 9-26-27
§ 9-26-27 Interest on execution. –Every sheriff, deputy sheriff, town sergeant, and constable charged with theservice of any execution for any debt or damages shall levy, collect, receive,and pay over interest on the debt or damages, from the date entered on themargin, up to the time of its discharge by him or her.
