SECTION 9-26-28

   § 9-26-28  Execution against sheriff.– Whenever judgment shall be rendered against any person holding the office ofsheriff, the execution issued thereon, directed in the ordinary form, may bedelivered to the sheriff or a deputy sheriff of some other county, who, withinthe county of the defendant sheriff, may levy on the property, subject to levyon execution, of the defendant, as the proper sheriff of the county might do inother cases, and proceed and sell the property according to law.
