SECTION 9-26-6

   § 9-26-6  Setoff of executions. – If any officer shall, at the same time, have two or more executions deliveredto him or her to serve, in which the parties shall be reversed, and shall sueand be sued in the same right and capacity, he or she shall set off the debtsor damages in the actions and levy and collect the balance only that shallremain due thereon, with the costs on all the executions.
