SECTION 9-9-2

   § 9-9-2  Exclusion for race, color, orprevious servitude, disability, or gender prohibited. – No citizen, possessing all other qualifications which are or shall beprescribed by law, shall be disqualified for service as a grand or petit jurorin any court of this state on account of race, color, or previous condition ofservitude, disability, or gender; and any officer or other person, charged withany duty in the selection or summoning of jurors, who shall willfully excludeor fail to select or summon any citizen for any of the causes provided shall,on conviction thereof, be fined not exceeding one thousand dollars ($1,000).
