33-16-27.1. Training program for county veterans service officers--Attendance and testing--Certification of compliance. The Division of Veterans Affairs of the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs shall establish a training program for county veterans service officers. Every county veterans service officer employed under the provisions of this chapter shall annually complete the training program established by the division and successfully complete a test administered by the Division of Veterans Affairs. The director of the Division of Veterans Affairs shall certify training compliance to the board of county commissioners. The director shall recommend against reappointment of any county veterans service officer not in compliance with the provisions of this section.
