33-19-1. Authority of county veterans' service officer or field officer. Upon notice to the county veterans' service officer or field officer of the Division of Veterans Affairs of the death within the county of a person entitled to burial benefits under this chapter, or at the officer's own initiative in a proper case, the veterans' service officer or field officer shall implement the provisions of this chapter in reference to the burial of the deceased.
