33-19-3. Maximum amount expended for burial--Claim filed with veterans division. The state shall pay for burial and funeral expenses, including cost of burial lot, a sum not exceeding one hundred dollars. No payment or reimbursement for burial and funeral expenses may be allowed unless a claim for the payment or reimbursement is filed or presented to the Division of Veterans Affairs within one year after the date of the burial.
