Section 37-25A-29 - Privilege against self-incrimination not excusing witness--Prosecution of witnessrestricted.

37-25A-29. Privilege against self-incrimination not excusing witness--Prosecution of witness restricted. No person may be excused from attending and testifying or from producing any document or record in any proceeding before the director of the Division of Securities or any officer designated by the director on the grounds that the testimony or evidence, documentary or otherwise, required by the director may incriminate him or subject him to a penalty or forfeiture; but no individual may be prosecuted or subjected to any penalty or forfeiture on account of any transaction, matter, or thing for which he is compelled, after claiming his privilege against self-incrimination, to testify or produce evidence. However, the individual testifying is not exempt from prosecution and punishment for perjury or contempt committed in testifying.
