40-7-3. Civil liability for unauthorized disposition of stock with brucellosis. Any person who sells or disposes of any livestock, except as provided in § 40-7-2, knowing that such livestock is affected with brucellosis, is liable to the purchaser of such livestock for any loss or damage that may ensue.
