41-20-3. Administration of forestry and forest protection laws. The state forester, under the direction of the Department of Agriculture, shall administer and enforce all state laws with reference to forests, woodlands, trees, and tree plantations, public and private, and the state wildland fire coordinator shall provide their protection from fire, trespass, and all other damaging influences.
