46A-2-26. Performance of obligations entered into with United States for construction, operation, or maintenance of water resources projects by public or private agencies--Cooperation. The Board of Water and Natural Resources shall have the power to cooperate with and to furnish assurances of cooperation and as principal and guarantor or either to enter into a contract, or contracts, with the United States of America, with public entities of South Dakota, or with persons for the performance of obligations entered into with the United States for the construction, operation, or maintenance of water resources projects or for accomplishment of the purposes and intents of this chapter and chapters 46A-3A to 46A-3E, inclusive.
