46A-7A-152. Budget hearing--Notice--Fiscal year of district. In October of each year at a regular meeting or at a special meeting called for that purpose, the board shall hold a public hearing on its proposed budget for the following fiscal year. Notice of the meeting shall be given at least five days and not more than thirty days prior to the meeting by posting in the district office and once by publication. The meeting may be adjourned from day to day as necessary without additional publication of notice. The notice shall state the time and the place of the public hearing and give a summary of a budget of the district as proposed by the board for the next fiscal year. The calendar year shall be the fiscal year of the district.
