46A-7A-24. Resolution declaring district functional on favorable vote of majority of electors--Certificates of election to directors--Cost of election. If a majority of all votes cast are for approval of the Cendak Irrigation District, the board, by resolution, shall declare the Cendak Irrigation District fully functional under the provisions of this chapter. Upon filing a copy of the resolution with the secretary of state, the district shall be a political subdivision of the state with the authority, powers, and duties prescribed in this chapter. The secretary of state shall issue certificates of election to the successful candidate for director in any contested division and to the single candidate for director in any uncontested division. The cost of the election shall be assigned to the district.
