46A-13-33. Drainage improvement constructed by joint arrangement--Maintenance and repair, assessments. The maintenance and repair of any drainage improvement constructed by joint arrangement with the authorities of any other state or states, under the provisions of this chapter, may be provided for by joint arrangement with such other state or states in the same manner as such drainage improvement was originally established and constructed, and all the provisions of this chapter relating to the construction of a drainage improvement by joint action shall apply to the maintenance and repair of such drainage improvement in case action is taken therefor under the provisions of this chapter. The drainage commission shall have authority to make assessments upon the property benefited, according to the benefit received, for the proportionate share of the maintenance and repair of any drainage improvement when the same is arranged for under the provisions of this chapter.
