9-43-58. Notice to certificate holder of payment of assessment or installment. Upon payment to the municipal treasurer of any assessment or installment thereof, or of any coupon attached thereto, he shall forthwith notify the holder of the special assessment certificate of such payment by mail, specifying the number of the certificate, the amount paid, the date of payment, and that such amount will be paid to such holder upon return to such treasurer of the assessment certificate or coupon held by him.
