11-2-102. Members of commission Appointment Term Vacancies.

(a)  Except as herein provided, the terms of all members of the commission shall be for three (3) years, commencing with the date of their respective appointments.

(b)  Five (5) of the fifteen (15) initial appointments shall be for terms of one (1) year, five (5) shall be for terms of two (2) years, and five (5) shall be for terms of three (3) years. Subsequent appointments shall be for terms of three (3) years.

(c)  The vacancies on the commission shall be filled by appointment by the governor and the persons appointed shall serve until the expiration of their respective terms.

(d)  The commissioner of environment and conservation shall be an ex officio member of the commission.
