3-15-509. Termination. [Effective until June 30, 2014. See the Compiler's Notes.]

(a)  The committee created by this part shall continue only until the operations of the department of health have improved substantially so that such oversight is no longer needed. It is the intent of the general assembly that improvement be accomplished in a timely fashion.

(b)  To these ends, the committee created by this part shall terminate on June 30, 2014.

(c)  For the Ninety-ninth General Assembly, the speaker of the senate shall appoint seven (7) senators to be members of the committee and the speaker of the house of representatives shall appoint seven (7) representatives. The respective speakers shall reappoint or appoint new members to the oversight committee for each subsequent regular session of the general assembly for the duration of the committee.
