41-2-116 - Statement of sentence.

41-2-116. Statement of sentence.

(a)  A certified statement of the sentence of each prisoner shall be made out on printed blanks provided for the purpose, and delivered to the superintendent of the workhouse, and also to the county mayor, by the clerk of the court trying the case, and shall specify:

     (1)  The name of the inmate;

     (2)  Date of sentence;

     (3)  Crime for which committed;

     (4)  The term of imprisonment; and

     (5)  Amount of fine and costs; and the superintendent and the county mayor shall enter the amount in a book provided by the county for that purpose.

(b)  The superintendent shall also keep a record of the age, sex, complexion, color of the hair and eyes and nationality of each inmate.
