44-12-106. Membership of board Chair Duties.

The Tennessee state public livestock market board shall consist of seven (7) members, three (3) of which shall be members of the Tennessee Livestock Auction Market Association and shall represent each of the three (3) grand divisions of the state, and three (3) of which shall be livestock producers with no interest financially or otherwise in any auction market and shall represent each of the three (3) grand divisions of the state. The seventh member of the board shall be the commissioner of agriculture, who shall act as the chair. It is the duty of these seven (7) persons to carry out this chapter.
