49-5-5407. Employment of assistant principals.

Any person who has been duly certified as a career level I, II or III assistant principal is eligible for employment by any LEA. Such an assistant principal may be employed from within or without the LEA, but may not be employed in place of an assistant principal currently employed by the LEA, an assistant principal on leave or an assistant principal on a preferred reemployment list.
