55-9-216. Steering wheels Penalty for violation.
(a) It is unlawful for anyone to install or maintain a steering wheel of less than twelve inches (12²) in diameter in any motor vehicle operated upon any highway, street or public road of this state; provided, however, that this subsection (a) does not apply to any motor vehicle specially equipped for the handicapped or originally equipped with such a steering wheel by the original manufacturer of same.
(b) Any person who violates this section shall be fined not less than twenty-five dollars ($25.00) nor more than fifty dollars ($50.00) for each violation.
