56-7-3008. Acceptance of eligible individuals and dependents Preexisting conditions. [Effective until June 30, 2010. See the Compiler's Notes.]

The department shall require each contractor to accept for enrollment in the plan every eligible individual and eligible dependent, to the extent dependent coverage is offered, who applies for coverage, without regard to any medical conditions. This section shall not preclude the department from permitting plans to exclude coverage for preexisting conditions, in accordance with criteria established by the department pursuant to § 56-7-3007.
