58-1-505. Lease to United States.
The governor is authorized and empowered to lease lands acquired in accordance with the provisions of §§ 58-1-501 58-1-504, to the United States government when such action is deemed by the governor to be advantageous to the defense of the state and the nation. A lease of such land executed by the governor in the name of the state of Tennessee will be adequate to vest in the United States government such leasehold rights as shall therein be set out.
