71-3-162. Performance audit.

On or before January 7, 1998, the comptroller of the treasury shall undertake a performance audit of the implementation and impact of the Families First Act and shall report findings and recommendations to the general welfare, health and human resources committee of the senate, to the government operations committee of the senate, to the health and human resources committee of the house of representatives, and to the government operations committee of the house of representatives. Such report shall also include a comparative summary of the implementation and impact of welfare reform initiatives in other jurisdictions. An implementation progress report shall be submitted by the department of human services to such committees on or before January 7, 1997.
