8-30-108. Duties of commission.
In addition to the duties expressly imposed upon the commission elsewhere in this chapter, the commission shall:
(1) Represent the public interest in the improvement of personnel administration in the state service; and
(2) Have jurisdiction to hear civil service appeals brought pursuant to statute and regulations promulgated pursuant thereto. The commission shall also be the final step in the grievance procedure provided for regular employees.
