9-4-5115. Department of finance and administration reports to legislative committees.
(a) (1) No later than February 1 of each year, the department of finance and administration shall make a report on tax exemptions to the finance, ways and means committees of the senate and house of representatives. Such report shall identify, to the extent practicable, all exemptions from state taxes and estimate the amount of revenue which would have been collected by the state in the fiscal year commencing on the July 1 next succeeding, such report had each such exemption not existed. Such report shall estimate the revenue not collected for each such exemption.
(2) The department shall base the estimates in such report on the revenue estimates provided to the state funding board by such department pursuant to § 9-6-202.
