13-5-17. Policy of act.
The Legislature declared that the purpose of this act is to safeguard the public against thecreation or perpetuation of monopolies and to foster and encourage competition, by prohibitingunfair and discriminatory practices by which fair and honest competition is destroyed orprevented. This act shall be liberally construed that its beneficial purposes may be subserved.
