§ 705. Chair, quorum, compensation, surety bonds
The council shall designate its chair, and may, from time to time, change the designation. A member of the council shall hold office so long as the member retains the office by virtue of serving on the council. A majority of the council shall constitute a quorum, and the concurrence of the majority in any matter within their duties shall be required for its determination. The members appointed by the governor or the members representing each of the unions or their officially elected alternates shall receive compensation for services at a rate not to exceed the per diem rate as defined by 32 V.S.A. § 1010(b) for time spent on the work of the council in addition to expenses, including traveling expenses, necessarily incurred in the discharge of the duties of the council. The council shall provide for the execution of surety bonds for all employees and officers entrusted with funds or property. (Amended 1959, No. 329 (Adj. Sess.), § 11(c), eff.
