§ 706s -   Books and papers to be turned over to successor

§ 706s. Books and papers to be turned over to successor

When a district office becomes vacant, and a successor is elected or appointed, the successor is entitled to receive all of the books and papers of the office, on demand. A person having books or papers in his possession who refuses for ten days after demand to surrender the same to the successor shall forfeit to the district $20.00 for each ten days' neglect, to be recovered in an action on this statute. (Added 1967, No. 277 (Adj. Sess.), § 25.)
