§ 1315 -   Citation served on non-residents

§ 5-1315. Citation served on non-residents

Such citation may be served on any person not an inhabitant of this state by leaving a true and attested copy of such citation, with the officer's return thereon endorsed, with or at the residence of the person's known agent or attorney, if the person has one in this state; and, if not, with or at the residence of the occupant of the land or buildings to which such hearing may appertain. If there is no such occupant, then such copy of said citation shall be left by said sheriff, constable, or police officer with the city clerk for such persons owning or otherwise interested in such land or other property. Said city clerk shall mail to the last known post office address of such person, in a registered package, a true and attested copy of such citation. Said city clerk shall make a certificate of the city clerk's doings touching said copy.
