§ 1592 - Definitions
§ 1592. Definitions
As used in this subchapter:
(1) "Nursing assistant" means an individual, regardless of title, who performs nursing or nursing related functions under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
(2) "Nursing and nursing related functions" means nursing related activities as defined by rule which include basic nursing and restorative duties for which the nursing assistant is prepared by education and supervised practice. (Added 1993, No. 201 (Adj. Sess.), § 1, eff. Jan. 1, 1995.)
