§ 1-244. Short title citations.

Whenever a subtitle, chapter, or article does not have a section or provisionestablishing or authorizing a short title citation for such subtitle, chapteror article, such subtitle, chapter or article may be cited by its caption.The caption is that word or group of words appearing directly below thenumerical designation given the subtitle, chapter or article. Captions areintended as mere catchwords to indicate the contents of the subtitles,chapters, and articles and do not constitute part of the act of the GeneralAssembly.
